Our friends at Functional Winery Supply, Inc. introduced us to 8 Bells Winery in December 2009.
We met with Winemaker & Partner Tim Bates at the 2010 Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers (WAWGG) show in February to finalize all of the winery cooling details.

Floor space in the Seattle U-District area is precious so Tim decided to install our ChilStar Micro Chiller System on the roof.

As you can see from the neighborhood windows, noise was a concern at first, 76 dBA @ 1 meter.
It’s difficult to make sense of a dB rating (decibels) without being a stereo junky!
76dBA is about the same level as the T.V. set in your living room at normal level.
Tim was very happy with how quietly the chiller system operated when we started it up.
