CUSTOMER: Rail Bridge Cellars

LOCATION: Sacramento, CA

PROJECT: Winery

We had the privilege of meeting Jon Affonso at the Unified Wine Symposium in Sacramento, Ca. Jon's passion for wine was ignited as an exchange student in France. With a degree in Enology from Fresno State University, Jon learned the business of making wine working at various facilities in the Napa Valley. His dream was always to return to his hometown to open this winery.

Jon has various sized tanks with cooling jackets

It is impossible not to feel his civic pride as he shares his inspiration for his wines and winery. The winery, located on the edge of Sacramento, has plenty of room for expansion.

It is inspiring to hear how local business people and partners stepped up to help Jon get the winery off the ground. It was an exciting first harvest last year at the new facility, they had actually been crushing grapes for close to 30 minutes before they were able to get their new chiller system online and operating!

We wish Jon the best of luck and appreciated the chance to work with him on this project. He currently has two wine offerings; a 2006 Sauvignon Blanc and the Rail Bridge Lattice, a 2004 Bordeaux red blend.
