There are times when no matter how hard you work to prevent problems and manufacture trouble free equipment, situations happen that are out of our control. Unfortunately one such event occurred at the Penner-Ash Winery.

One day Ron Penner-Ash noticed that one of the two compressors on their chiller system was off with an alarm light and not running. They called their installation company, Gormley Plumbing, out to check on the system. Ron knew harvest was just a couple weeks away and he was going to need all of the cooling capacity available.

Gormley discovered an internal leak on the air cooled condenser. After their service technician's valiant but unsuccessful repair attempt, they contacted us for help. Even though the system was out of warranty, we contacted the manufacturer of the condenser coil and reported the problem. They stepped up to the plate and provided a replacement condenser coil.

Even with expedited freight we had a very small window to get the new coil installed. So our general manager Jim Jr. called his wife and invited her to take a trip to the Oregon Wine Country...

   

Trisha didn't realize that her husband would put her to work getting the new coil installed and the chiller system back online. Don't they make a great team...

   

Our last report was that they had a very impressive grape harvest at Penner-Ash, with no cooling issues!!!
