Pro Refrigeration Inc. names Steve Pretz, as new VP Sales and Business Development
Pro Refrigeration announced today the hiring of Mr. Steve Pretz as VP Sales & Business Development. Steve has spent most of his 30+ year career working in the Dairy Industry, starting as a trainee with Babson Brothers Co in 1986 which led to managing and developing some of the largest dairy projectsaround the world as a key and integral part of the GEA Farm Technology Team.
“We have been actively searching for the right person to lead our Sales Team for several months, hoping that the right person and opportunity would present itself. When Steve was available, we felt right away that he would be a great fit and I’m really excited to have him on the team to help us write the next chapter of Pro,” said Jim VanderGiessen, CEO, “His experience and skill set will be huge as we work to not only build in our current markets, but will also help us identify and find success in new arenas within the US and internationally”.
Beginning his new role officially in November, Steve will be based from his home in Kansas City and work directly with each member of the Regional Sales Team as well as spending time at their Headquarters in Auburn, WA and their Production Facility located in Mocksville, NC.
“Having known Jim and Jim Jr for close to 30 years and being familiar with their product and team, made the decision an easy one. It’s an exciting opportunity to learn about several new markets while helping keep our position as one of the leading options for On Farm cooling” added Steve, “I’m ready to get started and join the team”.
Pro Refrigeration, Inc. was cofounded by Jim VanderGiessen Jr., CEO, and his Father Jim Sr. In 1990. In addition to being industry leaders to the craft beverage and dairy markets, Pro designs and manufactures chiller systems for numerous industries with a complete product offering from ¾ to 300 HP serving applications that require chilled fluid from –45 F to +45 F.
Pro Refrigeration, Inc. is headquartered in Auburn, WA with their 65,000 SF East Coast Manufacturing facility located in Mocksville, NC. Pro also has a network of regional sales people serving in each corner of the US.
